All Things Beautiful

I'm having a rather blah day, no energy, feeling kind of blue, and empty. Instead of concentrating on the negative, I've decided that for today, I will look at things that bring me hope and happiness. All things beautiful.

I was asked once what I would do if I didn't suffer from depression, anxiety, or panic attacks. I can't imagine what it would be like living without fear, but I can envision how amazing life would be.

I would love waking up each morning feeling calm

walk on the beach, and feel the sand between my toes

have more surprise parties, because lets face it, who doesn't like a good party

Appreciate the little things

No matter what, blowing out candles, capturing a wish, finding a penny, I always wish for the same thing, peace, and freedom from fear. For today, I would like to capture those wishes and save them for a better day.

I will take time to relax and do things just for me

Go for a walk and just breathe

Listen to music and feel the words, sing and dance like no one's watching

Today, I will take one day at a time and enjoy the present

I will not worry about tomorrow, but dream of it instead

The places I will go, like my home town of Amsterdam

I will be selfish and take what I need

appreciate the rain

Take the road less traveled

and never look back

Today, I need to just take one day at a time

and today, I have to realize that we each have our struggles, and that I'm never alone

and just for today, I will dream of a better tomorrow

accomplish what I can today, even if it's walking the dogs

Because today I have chosen to take a risk, and see things beautiful

and I hope you know, that no matter how you feel, or think about yourself

because you are beautiful

  1. If you can't envision something, you can't make it your reality. In 1933 Franklin D. Roosevelt said, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself" and no truer words have ever been spoken. It isn't a fearless person that becomes a hero, it's someone who's afraid and does it anyway! Be a hero and step out into the road and your life will be forever changed. You stepped out this summer Marina and your life is better for it and so is mine!!

    1. There are so many things I hope to accomplish, one of which was The Million Dollar Neighbourhood that premiered last Sunday on the Own Network. (Oprah Winfrey Network) I accomplished the impossible this summer, coming out of my comfort zone, feeling the fear and doing it anyway. My life is forever changed because of this tremendous experience, however, I still have hurdles to jump and a battle to fight, but I'm getting there, and that's what I hope readers get from my blog. One step at a time.

  2. Beautiful, Marina!

Remember that stepping out and taking ate least one photo a day of something beautiful is a great way to treasure every little day!! Doesn't matter if it's a picture of the sunrise or the dogs or the nature in your backyard, it's beautiful. Remember to take a few of your beautiful stuff too!! :) xoxo
